Which programs
- VinCheckup — vehicle history reports, through the ClickBank marketplace. VinCheckup compiles records through an NMVTIS connection tested and approved by AAMVA.
- EpicVIN — vehicle history reports. EpicVIN is listed as an Approved NMVTIS Data Provider by the U.S. Department of Justice.
- Amazon Associates — inspection tools such as paint thickness gauges, OBD2 scanners and moisture meters. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
What it does not affect
Commission does not decide which services or tools appear in our guides, in what order, or in what terms. No provider pays for placement, and none of them see a guide before it is published. Where a free source answers the question — a state DMV lookup, the NHTSA recall tool, the NMVTIS provider list — we say so, even though we earn nothing from it.

in a new tab, and sits inside a visibly separated block rather than being
buried in a sentence.
